The Skatepark of Tampa is located in Tampa Bay Park and is the oldest skatepark in the Tampa Bay area, having been open for twenty-one years. The park offers a wide range of features, including more than fifty different skateable obstacles, such as quarter-pipes, handrails, bowls, and several different street obstacles. The obstacles range from beginner to advanced, and the park also features a foam pit, enabling riders to practice their airborne tricks safely. The Skatepark of Tampa has something for everyone, from beginner to advanced, with both recreational and competitive options. There is a large 20,000-square-foot skatepark, the largest of its kind in the Tampa area, with a variety of terrains for all skill levels. The park also offers a skate and BMX school, where beginner and intermediate skaters can learn the basics of the sport and build their confidence. There are also organized competitions throughout the year that are open to both amateur and professional riders.
